Oh, how happy it makes me to have a clean and tidy computer. It is working far, far better than the last reboot in fact.
Went to daughter and middle son's summer school concert on Wednesday, which was exceptionally good.
Highlights:
Lizzie playing flute 'solo-ish bit' in Gabriel's Oboe (from 'The Mission').
Nick (on Viola) wearing a pirate hat and eye patch when string orchestra played music from 'Pirates of the Carribean', and making teacher hysterical so that she couldn't conduct at first.
Barbershop Group (with Nick) singing 'Dixie', and little 'solo' bit in 'Not Yet but Soon'.
Jazz Band (Nick on bass), they did a fantastic 'Salute to Benny Goodman', with one of Nick's friends, John, doing a brilliant solo on the drums that got cheers and whistles.
Lowlights of my week:
Work sucks. Colleague of other half's thinks I should resign, she thinks the way I have been treated is shabby. I am going to think about it this weekend and look at nonexistant finances and work out a plan...if it comes to the worst, I can at least get a job in the supermarket in the short term....and maybe it will push me to work on this flipping picture book I have been wanting to do for ages.
