Went to an interesting 'Changing Attitude' meeting last night (the group I belong to campaigning for acceptance and inclusion of homosexuality in the Church of England).

I won't bore you with all the details which were particularly Anglican last night, except to say that one of our Bishops was there, Bishop David (we have two in our Diocese, both members of Changing Attitude and extremely supportive and vocal on the issue) and he spoke well about the report published yesterday by the CofE, which as usual sat on the fence trying not to upset anyone.

The one thing that worried me from the meeting was the rather alarming statistic that in a recent church survey, the one group that was most 'conservative' and therefore least tolerant of homosexuality, were the 15-25 year olds. Bishop David did say that he thought that it did not truly reflect the views of the majority of the young people in the church, just of the most vocal, but it was still rather dispiriting.
