Thanks! It is supposed to be a shorter style, but Lizzie asked me to make it nice and long - it's about hip length I would guess. I haven't seen it on her yet!
Knitting is fun, I'm just TERRIBLY slow at it and then I get bored. A REALLY good book (where this pattern came from) is 'Big Knitting' by Sophie Britten, though I have to say SOME of her instructions were a tadge unclear, and I only knew what she meant because I know a bit about it, and her estimation of the amount of wool needed, certainly in this one, was grossly out and I had to buy more. BUT, it is still a really good book as you use huge needles and thick or fluffy wool and the stuff grows so darned quick!
Oh I wish I could make something like that. My Mom tried to teach me to crochet but nothing ever came out even, I always kept adding or losing a row :(
WOW! That turned out super cool! Makes me want to dig out one of my two yet-unfinished projects. That looks so comfy! It's got cuddly vibes all over it. <3
Mmm, that's nice! I used to love knitting but I can't do heavy stuff now, only kid's stuff which takes ages and by the time I've finished they've grown out of it LOL Still, roll on next year!
Thanks! Yeah actually it was surprisingly light, very fluffy wool and fast! I know what you mean about taking ages though, I've had kids grow out of several things I've started!
That is so pretty! I wish I could knit but I don't have anyone to teach me and I don't trust learning from a book. Lizzie is a lucky girl to have such a good mum!
I can't crochet to save my life! Well, I can do squares, that's about it...and trying to get a photo of Lizzie in it, to order...that's probably as hard, but I will try :)
