What a good way to start the day....yuck!

sildilFirst up, last night elderly cat brought in a mouse, naturally still alive (to be honest I was impressed that he managed to catch one since he is getting decidedly doddery!) I was unable to rescue it as when Stilton let go it ran into the heap of shoes and bags under the stairs...
...next morning. There is the little headless corpse in the hall (thankfully on a tile floor) but COVERED IN ANTS. Oh yuck. SO I had to clear that up and out came the plastic bag, kitchen towels and spray cleaner.
Then I go to feed the cats. SOMEHOW the freezer door was left open all night. There was a puddle on the ground that looked like blood but was actually blackberry juice (ah well, that sorts out what to do with last year's crop, dammit :() and virtually all the contents were defrosted. In a panic I pulled out a few things that we can use, but we have nowhere to store it and I have NO TIME to deal with it as I have to be at work in 30 minutes! WAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!
Ah well...let's hope work is bearable...
