Made my lunch...

Made my lunch, had my breakfast...

...then developed (again, after yesterday's one) a rotten headache and stomach cramps. Given that the medical room is next to my office and I have had a CONSTANT STREAM of kids leaning over me through the hatch and wanting to go home because of the same thing I am hardly surprised.

Anyway, it isn't THAT bad, but bad enough that I don't see why I should force myself to sit in my pokey corner at work feeling grotty, so I have taken a sickie and have gone back to bed.

See you later folks! xxx

There's a huge difference between feeling a bit poorly at home and a bit poorly at work so I think you definitely did the right thing.

Just posted the bracelet so you should get it tomorrow. Today is TBFH day so will be avoiding as much as possible, which may or may not involve sleeping. See you later xxx

babe, have you guys thought that there might be an outside cause of this? You might want to have them investigate it being carbon monoxide, which might have been released from their construction. This is kinda serious if more than one person are experiencing the same problems...

It is considered the height of wussery and malingering at Container World to even think of taking a day off sick. I strongly suspect even death would not be considered an adequate excuse. Also, being technically part-time, I don't get sick pay (thank you for that, Baroness Thatcher), so on Monday I went in with the headache-from-hell (can you technically call it a migraine if your hangover from Saturday night is still there on Monday?), and the other woman who works in the office was cheerfully throwing up all day (yes, really, she's one of those cheerfully-battling-on-regardless types).

The boss is currently on holiday in Thailand. He was there over Christmas too, and got dysentery, but that didn't stop him driving up overnight from the south of England when he got back so he could be in the office first thing on the Monday morning.

I would go back to bed and make the most of it if I were you!

Hope you feel better very soon! No reason to work when you feel rotten. *hugs*
