No thanks, I've already got one. My own Teenage Daughter With Attitude was filled with righteous indignation when her appalling mother refused to sign the form for her choice of subjects for next year until she had talked to the TDWA's guidance teacher.
Naturally, the appalling mother's concern that dropping all her subjects that she'd been doing so far and taking up Outer Mongolian Studies and Macrame was not the single best decision that TDWA could make was interpreted as being "unsupportive". Much angst and sulking ensued, but no reference to all the times I've Got My Complain On on her behalf and written stroppy letters to the school.
In the end TDWA grudgingly decided to drop Outer Mongolian Studies in favour of doing a Biology higher. She's fed up with sciences, you see, because she took 3 science subjects previously, despite the fact that we advised her strongly against it and said she should do a language, preferably French, instead. She said she hated French.
She's now doing French, but as she didn't do the Standard Grade, she has to go to catch-up classes.
