Warning: Small death in the family!
Yesterday was a sad day in the Sildil Household. Eldest went to clean out the fish tank and found 'Clint' (don't ask!) his elderly goldfish had died....and I cried! Over a Goldfish!(well actually, silver, he had gone 'grey' with old age).
He was 16 years old though, which is pretty good innings for a Goldfish I guess. We buried him in the garden under the peony.
..and now to cheer you all up a bit, I found an old sketch book and here are some pretty piccies...

I know what you mean about loving pets, tho. God knows I've cried often enough about them in the past...

We lived in West London, and In-Laws lived in East London..well, actually Essex, so when we visited at weekends we would take her in her cat basket on the tube, in rush hour..It certainly turned a few heads!
We lived in a flat too, with no garden, so would take her out for walks in the park opposite with a cat lead!

I'm so sorry hon... It hurts no matter how big or small the pet is.. I cried buckets when my sister's hamster died.. and I always said how much I didn't like it.. but I loved the little rat really, even if she did keep me awake at night!
*more hugs*
And those pictures are just gorgeous... I want to go there now! Have you ever been to the Lakes? If you have, I'd love to see any drawings you did of there!
*even more hugs*

Thank you too..I like using colour, in fact before I started drawing elves, I only used colour, mainly pastels...and now I'm just getting back into it again!

And wow, that IS a long time for a goldfish, and no it's not silly that you cried, he was part of your family for a long time! I still tear up when I think of past kitties...
