The reason I am not around today.
Aug. 18th, 2006 03:06 pmLizzie - going to Dorchester to visit granny by train.
I drive daughter and luggage to station, to buy her railcard and ticket. Time: 1 hour (VERY bad traffic)
Middle son has borrowed my credit card (allowed and offered) BUT NOT PUT PURSE BACK IN MY BAG.
Daughter has enough money in account to get railcard, but we have to drive back for purse to get ticket. Time: 1 hour (VERY bad traffic)
Options: Drive BACK to station (estimated time: 1 hour...blah blah blah) daughter gets (much) later train and therefore gets to Dorchester VERY late (and as she reminds me, 'she has M.E.')
Drive to Dorchester and have supper with granny (always a pleasant thing) and then either drive back tonight or tomorrow morning. Time: about 3 hours each way, but I like driving that road and late at night it will be fun too.
Possible consequences: other half will be pissed off as a) 'he hasn't got the car' and b) we were supposed to be out for the day tomorrow with colleagues of his...now I originally was SURE this was going to be Sunday (better) , but now Simon says Saturday and I am convinced this is because he NEVER wants to miss Church. EVER. For ANYTHING.
Decisions, decisions.
So, to all you lot who might have expected me on IM, LJ, phone, whatever, I am most likely on the M5 somewhere south of Bristol!
See you all later!xxxx
