Old Photos....
Funny things, old photos aren't they? I found these two when clearing out an old album and went off into this complete reverie of nostalgia. Now for those of you who don't know, my grandparents raised me and I always called them 'Mum and Dad', so the photos look a little old for your average parents, but anyway.....
This one was my Dad, in the newsagents that I lived in until I was 12. I think the photo was taken long before that though. We always thought it looked like a 'Phensic' advert: Take Phensic for All Headaches!

...and this one was of my Mum and two of her sisters. She is the one in the middle. And boy, don't they all look happy? Sadly, that is the way they looked most of the time!

I just loved the 'Reservoir Dogs' look with the sunglasses.....about as mean too.

Funnily enough the one on the right hand side in the stripey dress was the most cheerful of the three. The one on the left with the white cardi TERRIFIED both me and my 'real' father (it was paternal grandparents that brought me up).
My 'Mum' (centre) was an extremely formidable woman, pleasant and nice on the outside and to visitors, but behind closed doors, aarrgghh! It's a wonder I am the sweet, sane, well balanced person that I am today!
