It was another drawing for Anu, this time of 'his' Maeglin in 'House of the Golden Flower', who was a fairly tortured soul.

Have to agree that he is one of the most complex and interesting characters Tolkien created. Have always been fascinated with the idea of "what might have been" had his head not been filled with false dreams and ambitions by his mother.

Sad, but still wonderful picture.

Thank you, yes, I am very fond of Maeglin, he is a wonderful character and incredibly complex.

Thank you Celebrimbor. Yes I agree, he IS an incredible and complex character and I loved doing this drawing. There are so many 'what ifs' in his life, and he is certainly not all bad as he is sometimes made out to be.
