My room looks much the same, only more plastic bags as I haven't unpacked from Uni yet! Does she do the daily migration of stuff as well (stuff on bed goes on floor when she needs the bed to sleep in, then goes gradually back to the bed over the course of the day, one way or another)?
Yes, sort of! Though it seems to be more that there is a steady migration to her friend's next door, where she has 'her' side of the bed (her friend Emily has a double in her room) 'her' shelf, 'her' space in the wardrobe...so her room is JUST a dumping ground until she HAS to sleep there (ie; during school week) at which point, yeah, it all gets dumped on the floor.
At this precise moment she and said friend are tidying up with a couple of other girls too... *awaits HUGE pile of washing with trepidation*
If our daughters ONLY KNEW we post piccies of their trollpits bedrooms online, they might clean them up a bit.
I am so glad that you identified those as potatoes because I first thought they were mutated maggots found under the month old sandwich in the wastebasket of said daughter's rabbithole. :P
Been there done that, still looks that way too. I just recently found enough dishes in Sara's to make a complete load in the dishwasher. Of course my Mom tells me its payback because my room used to look the same way, imagine that, lol.
The potatoes do look like that, they taste wonderful though. You don't see them in shops as they don't travel well, that's why we grow them.
And yes, teenage girls rooms are the same the world over, aren't they? That mess is so much Lizzie's I can see why you would keep Sara's that way. I'd do the exact same.
ROTFL! Yes, they COULD have been something nasty in the waste bin! In the past I have found DIRTY underwear stuffed in the clean drawers too! *shudders*
Unfortunately, publishing the phots did nothing except get her dragging her friends in to see them! She HAS since tidied however and it's almost presentable!
*won't comment on the room, because of fear of self-incrimination*
Potatoes?? I thought they were like....warts or something equally unappatizing. Then I thought...turnips of some kind. (which are still unappatizing) ...but ...potatoes...hmm...I need to check out the vegetable aisle in the store more often, I think, see if we have any of these....exotic food...
Hey, that's worse than my housekeeping! I'm duly impressed.
And the potato thingies... at first I thought there were something unidentified that you found in your daughter's room. Cheetohs gone bad or something? *blearugh*
