Mar. 8th, 2004 04:45 pmDear All,
Had a wonderful time at the weekend. I hope you like these

This first one is of the place where we stayed at the top, and the second one is of the amazing ruins of Fountains Abbey which was just a minute's walk away. Other half dragged me there at 10pm on Saturday evening to wander through the ruins in the moonlight! It was scary, (not being dragged there by other half!) just so atmospheric and overwhelming.

The third postcard is a detail of the ruins and the fourth is the huge undercroft, largest in europe, this only shows about a third of it, and in the dark I just could not go in there!..I know, I was a wimp!
Did two little scribbles too, this one, because I loved the strong blue shapes of the sky, very abstract....

and this one because I like drawing scribbly trees....

They may not be the best pictures I've done, but I was pleased to actually have sat and drawn anything to be honest..I'm out of the habit.
I had yet a fourth go on Anu's drawing...STILL not got it quite right! Grrr..I will NOT give up yet!
Most of all though it was a chance to just talk and be together, me and the Lord and Master...first time for ages that we didn't have kids around....bliss!!! Reminded us both of the reasons why we were together in the first place!
love to you all,
