1. I trained and worked as an architect before having kids.
2. I learnt how to fly a glider while at college.
3. I was legally adopted by paternal grandparents at 3 months - birth parents were too feckless to raise me.
4. My favourite food of all time is Pie and Mash, from THIS shop, sadly no longer a Pie and Mash shop.



5. My grandfather (see 3) came from Lithuania as a boy and my dad (birth, see 3) went there a few years ago and traced a whole load of relatives. He's been back several times since and they've visited him. I keep promising myself that one day I'll go.
6. I grew up in the east end of London, and still at times have an east end accent, if tired, angry or talking with another eastender.

I'm not tagging six, I'd like ALL my friends to do this, but would particularly love mirien to do it:D

The Pie and Mash shop turned to a live or jellied eel specialty store?!?! Oh dear. Maybe it's a cultural thing, but the thought of jellied eel isn't sitting too well...

I'm amazed, as usual, by you--architect and flying gliders. Fascinating!

*chuckles* No, THAT'S what it was like when I used to go there! Pie mash and eels was a typical meal, it sold nothing BUT pie mash and eels :D (see icon!) Mum used to buy the eels fresh too sometimes and take them home for cooking. It was a real eastend thing. The building is now listed as a historic landmark.

And jellied eels are DELICIOUS! Lots of pepper and vinegar, and preferably eaten from Barney's market stall down 'The Lane'...now long gone.

Not at all! A lot of Brits wouldn't know about them either! They really are an east end thing, the old pie and mash shops :)

So....think you can fly a cargo carrier under the radar for a mission to Japan? We're gunna raid Square Enix and I need a good pilot. Also, forklift operation.
You see, there's this life size Sephiroth statue there that needs a good home....
