Assorted Ramblings, verbal and physical, and some Pretty Pictures

That'll teach me!..talk about life imitating art. There I was on the EOAS tagboard last night, while staying at geek6's (Eldanar) pretending as Sildil to have a cold, and what happens?..today I have a cold. Never mind, apart from that it was a good day. Eldest and I 'did' London. He had an interview at King's College, and so we spent the day there and covered lots and lots of culture!

First stop: Peered through the window of Ancient Roman Bath, hidden down a urine smelling alley round the back of the Strand.

Second Stop: Had coffee in cafe and waited while eldest had interview. Drew picture.


Third Stop: Covent Garden, where eldest bought girlfriend a bracelet. Mother bought daughter a PERFECT pink fluffy trilby hat!!!

Fourth Stop: Tube and then the Victoria and Albert Museum. Absorbed culture and bought 2 postcards for anuanu Bought book in art shop that I have been looking for, as it had a black and white copy of a painting in it by Scottish turn-of-the-century Symbolist Artist, John Duncan in it called 'The Awakening of Cuchullin', which, as far as I am concerned, IS Glorfindel!..I just WISH I could see it in colour....


Fifth Stop: Tube to Russell Square and walk to British Museum. Absorbed more culture. Bought another postcard for anuanu and gift for middle son. Drew bits of Elgin Marbles and pondered on rights and wrongs of Britain keeping them.

Sixth stop: Found place for supper, walked through to Trafalgar Square, got train home.

I hope he does well too...he certainly gave it his best shot... and thanks, I like sketching and haven't done it often enough recently.
