Cat's claws and Placebo...

We took Stilton cat to the v**s today. He's getting quite old now, though not ancient by any means and he doesn't get out and run around like he used to, so his claws had got quite long. SO...into the kitty container he went and YOWLED all the way to the v**s, had a check up, had his innoculations, and THEN horror of horrors, had his claws trimmed shorter. It was as well that the v*t nurse held him as I would NEVER have been able to manage it!

He HISSED and SPAT, CLAWED and BIT! I have never heard him growl so much as he is really a very placid cat! Anyway, he was no match for Superv*t and now has neat claws and soft paws. I THINK he's forgiven me, but it will be interesting when he goes back for his next innoculation in three weeks!!!

And now tomorrow I am off down to London for the day with Lizzie to see Placebo! And hopefully I am meeting up with ilye_elf, B and elfbystarlight, if we manage to get to find each other in wembley!

My current kitty bebes are pretty well behaved at the vet. But my old kitty Muffy, who died in 2000, was a terror. She bit, clawed, spit, ack. They used to have to sedate her just to examine her. She loved me though, and allowed me to clip her nails, so all was good.

Awwwww, she obviously knew you loved her :) Our old cat Monty was on medication for the last few years and giving her pills was a NIGHTMARE! It wasn't so much her fighting me, but her deviousness at getting rid of the pills!!!
