Back at work today after the week's half-term and the two snow days..which now seem SOOOOO long ago!
It was an amazing break, one of those weeks where I seemed to pack stuff in and have a much longer holiday than it actually was.
I'm not sure how many hundreds of miles I travelled, but I drove down to Dorset via Stroud, across to Exeter (Devon), back to Bromsgrove (via Stroud), down and back to London and down and back to Stroud (again!). I shopped with Lizzie in Camden Market, shopped and ogled stuff with
mirien in Bovey Tracey and Exeter and we went to see 'Hot Fuzz' which was hysterically funny!
And then today I did THREE HOURS WORTH of post sorting, as the school had been closed for over a week! And I am STILL not caught up with all the behaviour entries on the database. This latter part of the job is very interesting but just a tadge depressing at times when I see the same names entered again and again and again for the same reasons (defiance, disruptive behaviour, verbal abuse, truancy). Certainly this school is one of the worst for behaviour I am sure, I honestly don't know of any others that have three full time behaviour managers who do nothing but go round to answer teachers' call outs for assistance.
Anyway, I got through it and didn't feel too tired after a LOT of late nights!
