Just a quickie...

Just a quickie as I completely FAILED to update my LJ before leaving for Mum-in-law's yesterday, after The-Hair-Crisis-That-Was-Lizzie's.

She didn't like the blue because the orange that was left after the four (or was it five) attempts to bleach out the black made it look muddy. Well, I told her that but to be honest her hair was horrendous left without the blue...anyway, it's now black again (thank whatever) THIS time with a semi permanent dye. But it meant it had to be done before descending on Dorset.

It was a good journey, although took a lot longer than usual as we avoided the motorway almost completely. Had lunch in Bradford-on-Avon, a REAL gem of a place, all 18th century and served by a darling boy in soft open-necked cotton shirt and grey woollen britches.

I have FINISHED my book, dammit, 'Keeping It Real' (can't remember the author I'm afraid, google it) and am now eagerly awaiting the next one! (part cyborg part human girl protecting elf rockstar - delicious!)

Am now off to see PotC - AWE, with youngest female remnant and spousal unit. WIll report back when we return from Exeter tomorrow (seeing middle remnant in end of year performance!)

Selling Out. I have my copy sitting by me and it looks brilliant. Should be in the shops now, got mine from Amazon. Would have thought Waterstone's in Dorchester will have it (she says, stating the bleedin' obvious).

I like Lizzie's hair black, it really suits her - what a saga! *grin*

Too late...we were with Simon and therefore failed to stay even to the beginning of the credits, although I was really suprised Lizzie didn't make us. I liked it a lot, but was EXCESSIVELY tired and I am afraid all the chat and exposition nearly sent me to sleep :(

Ahem *blush* I ordered it pre crisis and then wished I hadn't but of course it was too late by then once I realised I'd messed up.

And I know, I really liked Dar :(

I'll tell you the ending (despite not having seen it yet) when you get back but it is officially a Happy Ending (TM) TBFH and that lot are seeing it Tuesday and I am looking for ways to get out of it. I don't want some offhand comment spoiling it for me when I wander out of the cinema afterwards still all caught up in it.

Oh and got gossip for you on the J and TBFH front which will have you air punching for DAYS *grin*

Blue can be difficult to achieve, especially if you're starting from Very Dark in the first place. The Daughter uses Manic Panic After Midnight Blue, but it's not permanent, and tends to fade to a strange peacock shade after a couple of weeks.

She only does the front bits, and she can't keep up the maintenance on that!

I am more dedicated in my regular applications of Natural Chestnut Brown because the alternative is... not what I want to see!

Quite. Manic Panic was the brand and where her hair was blonde it went perfectly blue, it was the other bits that didn't work. However, we will attack it again when we are bother emotionally stronger!!!

I liked POTC 3--- it was a tad long and a tad confusing, but I liked it anyway. Hint: Stay for the credits! I didn't and had to be told what happend. Stoopid Nienna...
