Sildil was an own, minor character in a fic I wrote a very long time ago, I needed an elf name and googled for one. He sort of stuck and then I used him on the Elf on a Shelf tagboard, and his character developed there into a pink and green haired guitar playing punk elf. It is a little sad that I now have a COMPLETE history for the poor thing!

Probably angst_h0r, which is my YIM name and a bit of an in-joke as I am :D

Usual Whine.

OK, having reached the tender age of 50, I am now routinely 'invited to a breast screening'. Joy. Actually since this is the most action I have seen for nearly a decade, it was not such a bad thing, except the nurse was female...but then again...I dunno.........

.....anyway, yes I know it was routine and yes I know there are no problems, but a tadge more interest on the part of the husband would be nice. If it were his balls being squashed between a metal plate and a sheet of perspex, I suspect he would expect me at least to go with him and at best to be around to ask how it went. But no, he is off at the shops and is then going up to see his retired colleague. Yesterday on his other day's holiday, did he do something with the family in the afternoon? No, he spent it in the library doing his research.

But I digress.

What has really pissed me off today is one comment.

Most of you know that I draw, and a lot of you know that I've been using the computer more and more recently. Our computer is at least 8 years old, if not 9 and has had very heavy use and is grossly underpowered now. I've been thinking through various plans on how to solve the immediate and then long term problem, and came up with the idea of getting a laptop now, for me, then a new computer in the autumn so Nick can have this old one for Uni. Anyway, subject was broached, in passing with other half. I thought he had heard the idea from Lizzie, but he hadn't so I said, 'wait a sec, just need a quick pee' and then I'll tell you....'

....So of course that means he disappears to the other end of the house and doesn't answer my calls when I wander round looking for him getting later and later for my boob squeeze. I finally find him.

"Where WERE you? Couldn't you wait a sec?"

"I am not some pet dog who waits around."

I could cry. In fact I am.

I've got one.......*grins*

I got a laptop.

Fuck Simon.

*grins*

And Nick came back from Prague (school music trip) and said, 'yes the beer WAS cheaper than water, and yes I was drunk every night and part of the day!'

I've been knickering.....

I have thrown away an entire black binbag of tights, bras and knickers I would never ever wear again, never liked in the first place and regretted buying.

I have bought several new bras and a vast assortment of new and SEXY knickers. OK, so only me will see them (probably a blessing) but I KNOW THEY ARE THERE, or rather, given the nature of the scraps of lace and nothingness, I know they are NOT there.

(And yes, I am married and no, he wouldn't notice if I wore the binbag instead and yes, it is totally soul destroying and yes I am fed up with it, hence the 'fuck it I am buying sexy knickers for me'.)
