Easter Monday Walk
Mar. 25th, 2008 04:02 pmIt's almost traditional here at home to go for a walk on Easter Monday, and yesterday's was pretty awesome.
First of all we went to the church at St Kenelm, a favourite place of mine...

Visited the well and saw the Rag Tree...

...and loved the catkins and blossom just starting to come out here.
(and here is all about the church and the well: http://www.indigogroup.co.uk/edge/Stkenelm.htm )
Then after an amazing sausage sandwich and coffee in a perfect cafe, up onto the Clent hills...

...where the wind nearly swept Lizzie and Simon away!

DA is right, we do have wonderful places here, but we lack the old, old history of Europe... And where I live everything is young. My time on the east coast was quite a revelation. My short time in Europe so many years ago was a renaissance!
*hugs*
