Back to normal....or at least, relatively normal!

Well, In-Laws have gone home - they had a very nice time and fitted in comfortably.

Kids had some good chats with them - I find it is always nicer when the kids are on their home ground, they are much more relaxed and talk a lot more. And it was good for other half to have his parents here, as they visit so rarely...I think this was the third time in nearly ten years!

I am slowly getting up to date with stuff!
Posted my bit of the Round Robin on Ex-Libris Yahoo Group...it's over to Freyja now! (Grins wickedly.)

Posted a hello on the New Arda Reborn Yahoo Group, and tinkered with the character profile a bit as suggested.

Posted an introduction to my Thranduil clone on the Haldir's Realm Yahoo Group.

Read emails, back posts, LJ's etc etc.

.....and lastly, updated LJ, though the latter was difficult as cat decided that the computer keyboard and mouse was just THE place to curl up and sleep. Both cats were thoroughly spoilt by In-Laws, and now want all my attention, all the time!!!

I've read Sildil's description of Du's first week. Du seems very... gothic. I guess poor old Sildil doesn't realise for now what it means to have a teenager in his house.
What does Du think of Sil's bright pink hair, I wonder?

HAH....your in-laws sound like my parents, 'cept mine don't stay the night.

My kids get on much better witht the grandparental-units when they visit this way because they don't feel trapped and can come and go as they please instead of gingerly moving about another persons' space and wondering when they will f**k-up next.

As for cats...yeah mine get spoiled too....the older one hears my mother at the door and is a blanket on her within 30 seconds flat. My cats are only really visiting with me....they would much prefer to live with my parents. *rolls eyes*

Yes, that's exactly right about the kids..they don't feel on display. Also they have their own things around, and their mates.

I did have to defend my internet use a bit with my mother-in-law, but fortunately she didn't see how much I am usually on line!
