Heh. My Tabitha likes to sleep like that too. Her front and back legs can point in totally opposite directions flat on the floor. I wonder how she can be remotely comfortable with her body twisted 180 degrees, but apparently she is.
Hmm and yes, I think it must have been because I didn't use a flash, the light was quite low and its made it look purple, as the embers were definitely NOT that colour!
