sildilWell, there was a surprise!
Middle son Nick on exam leave, and we went to the local craft centre for coffee.
One of the shops there is a violin, viola and cello makers, and Nick always stares in the window and lusts after the handmade instruments.
Anyway, there was a sign up, asking for people to 'borrow' the instruments and 'play them in'. We went in, and came out with the loan of a £2,500 handmade viola, for at least a month, or more until the guy needs it to exhibit or if anyone wants to buy it!
So...now Nick is playing away furiously, to get the most out of it, and it really does sound lovely!
