What I did today....

sildilThis morning I got up and went online first thing as is my wont and chatted briefly to a friend.
Then I went to work. Which was dull, as usual......You know what it's like, you love a job and are blissfully happy until you feel taken advantage of and it goes kersplat and then you find everything about it irritating. But I did talk to a very nice lady who regularly comes in to donate money for our church appeal. Sadly her son died just over a year ago, aged 31, completely unexpectedly in his sleep and she has raised nearly £1000 in his memory towards restoring the organ. She is a real laugh too, an ex-pub landlady.
Then I came back and again, chatted to friends and played around in EOAS, at the same time as making a mask for middle son (16) who announced he needed it in a play this evening. Honestly, you think they grow out of that by the time they are 10 or so!
Then supper, and daughter (14) and female Spanish exchange student (16) arrived home from bowling and have gone to play football at neighbour's. Said neighbour's son was mortified the other day as he is a football addict and in the end had to retire gracefully as Spanish girl was better than him.
Now, here I am back online, at the same time as filling out a job application!
A typical day!
