The new kitten is well and truly settled: Stilton is almost verging on interested, Garlic has stopped hissing like a cobra when she's in the same room, though still growls if she's close and the kitten in turn is wary but not cowering, which is good enough.
I spoke to the girl who did the phoning around yesterday, and she tried EVERYWHERE and left her phone number, so she thinks we should keep her. In fact, she said (and I don't agree with her here, but still) if they called at THIS late stage, then are they good enough owners? I must say, if someone DID come forward, I'd want HUGE assurances that she was wanted and loved.
SO, looks like she's staying! And therefore we've given her a name - Simon chose it in fact, 'Pepper'! It continues the foody theme, she does have a peppery look on her tabby bit and she makes him sneeze! It was the ONE name we all agreed on ahahaha!
