In a similar vein, I had a go at jam making once. It sort of exploded.

I think I'd have enjoyed it more if it hadn't bubbled out of the (far too small as it turned out) pan and stalked me round the kitchen. I'd love to have another go, but maybe with supervision!

yes you HAVE to have a large enough pan, hence the TWO large jam pans above that I used on the marmalade! It needs to boil fast and if it's too small you keep having to turn it down and then it takes FOREVER to set! I'd love to supervise some jam-making sometime, start saving your jars!

At least now I actually have a decent excuse for my maraschino cherry habit. I'm saving the jars, I HAVE to eat them!
