Highs and lows...

First the lows, because I want to get that out of the way - I have a HORRID cough and cold and have been off work the last two days and do NOT intend going in tomorrow either. To make it doubly depressing, spouse is also sick with the same lurgy, and we are coughing and barking at each other so much that it actually makes me giggle!

Now the HIGH! I MANAGED TO TRIM GARLIC'S CLAWS MYSELF! She was so good and I KNOW people have said it was easy, but it really WAS - I wouldn't have wanted to tackle the dear old Stilton-cat's claws, he bit the vet the first time he had it done, but Garlic's a sweety.

awww, get better soon, at least with both of you sick you'll get it out of the way at once instead of you and then him, which is usually how it goes :)

bravo on the nailclipping, not many people are brave enough to clip their cats claws. Even I can't clip my cats nails lol

My girl has a claw that always overgrows and I have to hold her by her scruff in mid-air to get at it haha

You and Becky - she's home today with a nasty cold.

I learned to start trimming my kitty's claws when they were kittens. They don't mind it so much. I lucked out with Sally, who was 3 when we got her. She's just a mellow old girl and lets me.

Feel better, Sil! ♥

Those little nail-clippers you get in Christmas Crackers are good for clipping cats' claws. When we lived in a flat, and the cats stayed indoors I used to clip 'em occasionally, but once we moved and they all became Outdoor Cats it was never necessary. However both Black Cat and White Cat have become so lazy in their old age that their tree climbing/stropping days are behind them, and they keep getting hooked on everything, so I may have to get the clippers out again.

Unfortunately, I only got a yo-yo in this year's cracker!

Oww. I hope you both get better soon!

Yay for besting the cat. :D
