I am getting REALLY pissed off with Livejournal's bloody comment posing fiasco, it keeps logging me out, making me post anonymously, not showing stuff - thing is I don't actually LIKE the format of tumblr friends page, or how I have to jump through hoops to see it via my dashboard. I think that my livejournal which I've had for years and years and ever since I first started on the internet is going to have to die :(

LJ has been working very hard to lose its contributors* for some years now. It appears to be succeeding quite well.


*We are not the customers. The advertisers are the customers. I predict that when the customers discover there is no longer any worthwhile content due to lack of contributors, they will be customers no more.

The comment thing drives me insane too and is one of the reasons I've sort of dropped out of LJ to a degree. Tumblr IS tricky, I agree, the only way I manage is to follow certain threads or it would drive me batty and I've given up trying to keep up, it's utterly impossible.

Feels sad to let go of LJ though, doesn't it? :(

Yeah very sad. I think I'll be keeping it to view others and just to
occasionally post for old times sake and so as not to lose it
altogether, but to be honest I use the dreaded facebook far more than
anything else these days. It's true I don't get the fanfiction and
stuff, but that's about the ONLY thing I don't get from it. I find I
keep up with most of my online pals via the SL roleplay group forum
(think Elf on a Shelf) when I'm not in SL, and obviously chatter to
most mates in-world anyway.
