PS From the Scribe: *watches Mirien leave* He's got the widest grin I think I have ever seen! Sil, this is beautiful. The colours are incredible, the way they capture the light from the forge. Celebrimbor as I imagine him, captured perfectly
I'd love an Orophin. What is your commission fee? Ultimate Power Over the Universe? X-Ray Vision? Let me know, I'll arrange it right away. I have contacts who can arrange such vaguely-nefarious-but-nonetheless-fun things.
Why, thanks, I love my icon, too! I did not make it, however, so can take no credit, except for the fact that I have the impeccable taste to use it. :-)
Yes, I'd love an Orophin by his lonesome!
I can offer in return:
1. One frillion delectable cookies. 2. The Super Power that will allow you to taste a food, and immediately discern what it would need to make it taste perfect. 3. Llamas. 4. Ten free classes in ninjutsu, the ancient actual real martial art of the real life ninjas. I am proficient, and can teach you how to sneak into your own house without your kids knowing. Or how to lasso an intruder from twenty feet away with a chain and grapple them to the ground. 5. Undying gratitude. 6. My firstborn child.
1. Mmmm, yummy! 2. Sounds very useful..especially while cooking tea, night after night. 3. Hmmm...could be very handy for getting shopping back home from the supermarket. 4. Excellent...especially for getting in the house after hours - and I could check up on what they are doing too... 5. Thanks! 6. Have three, more than enough!
OK! *Adds Orophin to list, and starts to allow him free reign inside head...smirks*
Now, for your first ninjutsu lesson, please stealthily dart under the nearest table, and practice reciting the following:
"Ah ha, you will never find me here, under the table, where I am hiding secretly, where you will never find me...I wonder where my nemesis Kali of the Nine Demons is hiding for she is my nemesis and I must truly defeat her in order to gain the respect of my ancestors?"
*mouth keeps moving for a few seconds*
After that, I'll teach you koppojutsu, which is the art of breaking your opponent's bones with either withering glances and devastating wit, or actual blows with your fingers, whichever you prefer.
Remember, ninjas were very witty, especially during the Meiji period, where they had to deal with largely humorless samurais.
*gasps* Oh my! This is awesome! Loveitloveitloveit!
You know, if I had the money, I would buy a nice, big house and have all the windows made from stained glass, with your art as motives. That would be gorgeous to look at, I am sure! Failing that, I will just sit down and patiently wait for more...
...do you accept to be repaid in art? *^_^*
Love, Nellas
(philosophical question: is art a currency to be used among artists?)
Thanks! You know you are the second person to mention wanting this stuff in stained glass! Funnily enough, I just spent the last year doing pictures to go together as a stained-glass window design for our local parish church. IF they EVER get the money for it.......
And yes, repayment in art, what an interesting idea. I love pictures and paintings, the house and computer are full of them, and more are always welcome - And i do thik that other artists are the ones who truly appreciate the value!

Well, I sincerely hope they do! What a wonderful church that would be... I'd be tempted to take a trip to see it, even though I consider myself an agnostic. (And yes, I do realize that those are *not* Elfie piccies for those stained glass windows. *g*)
Hmmm, so, what would your choice pairing be, if I am to do one for you?
Hmmmm...what a decision!!! Well, I just wrote a story for a friend that I posted in my LJ a couple of weeks ago, 'Legolas in Valinor', which was Gil-galad and Legolas! They would be nice!
*That* certainly is a pairing I wouldn't have expected! But hey! when did I ever say I wasn't up for a little challenge? *g* I guess I will have a stroll down your LJ, read said story, then have a lot of fun with it... 'k?
Well, then, Happy (belated) Birthday! And glad to hear that you're so excited about it all - it's not often I get such an enthusiastic response to art that hasn't even been drawn yet. *gg*
