sildilI have been so busy these last few days it has been impossible to catch up on so many things, but I have done my best.
The school concert that middle son did his things in was great. As well as his stuff (timing perfect, got cheers and loud applause for both the Rum Cake thingy and the singing of 'Fairytale of NY') there were some excellent things, a flautist who played some Poulenc beautifully and a really young rock group who performed with real gusto were among the highlights.

feanaros_house's Jambalaya recipe which was delicious and much appreciated!
Today is a 'try and fit it all in' day, with yet another concert to go to, this one is the Worcestershire County Youth Orchestra's 50th anniversary one. It is sure to be good (middle son again, in viola section) but I WISH I wasn't going out!
Then tomorrow it's back to work! I am not used to working right up till Christmas, and the boss is a bit of a scrooge and expects us there in the office till 5pm on Christmas eve! Oh well, the kids will have to do more of the preparations this year, it will do them good!
