Ok, now that I have it, take a look at master erestor's LJ for details of how to help the victims of the appalling earthquake and tidal waves in Asia. It is an auction of original EOAS artwork, for sale on Ebay....
I have been bouncing about lj and real life and not having a cooperative pc all the time and had a heap of things I tried to comment on but this machine wouldn't let me (will it today ??)
First off ...loved your brilliant Xmas piece. That just had me all in smiles but this one...WHOA-MAMA I am just breathless. *wibbles* ...sooo prettsie! So well done.
Is this done on the pc??...If it is...honey YOU need to actually PAINT This BIG on canvas or board...and I mean...at least 3 feet wide! I just love this...really REALLY love this boy. 0__0
...and I completely off topic but...I need to know about that hand in your picture post. Is that a articulated model? If so WHERE DO I GET ONE??!!
Glad you liked this picture, yes it was drawn freehand in ink then scanned in and coloured as I do most stuff these days. Funnily enough I have thought a couple of times of scaling them up and transferring pictures into acrylics on board and doing them big. I guess its all down to my fave pop artist, Patrick Caulfield....interesting idea...*goes off to think about it*
The Christmas piece was fun wasn't it? Middle son did a brilliant performance of it, his timing was perfect!
The hand is articulated, and a very good buy, I use it a lot. I don't know where that particular one came from, but they are available in various shops locally, I shall do some investigating for you and get back to you. If I can't find somewhere you can order it direct, I am sure I can get one for you and mail it, but I'll look online first.
Oh good! Hope you enjoy it! Oh and a slight word of warning, they are VERY tempting to bad children who leave them making VERY rude gestures on top of the mantlepiece when you don't know until you have a visitor!
Alas the pc is not better. It is flaky as ever....today I only had to reboot once *knocks on wood*...but most days it's 15+ times just to get on and stay online.
Hubber has had it up to his wazzo with our whining though...In the new year I will be getting a new pc. The one is just on it's last legs. I can get into lj but not always comment and even then it takes 3-5 tries. I am just spending time uploading images to my wehhost so that I can work from hubbers laptop if this one just gets fried.
ALSO the teens are home for the holidays....*chuckles*.....so what time this thing is operational is spent with them in chatrooms. Oddly the chatrooms work even if I can't get online otherwise.
As for the hand. If you can find one I am willing to pay for such a thing..OH YES INDEED. Just let me know the cost/shipping and such and I'll send you moneyorder/cash..whatever. I saw that and my eyes almost fell out of my head as I screamed.....I SO NEED ONE OF THOSE AND KEPT SAYING I WISH THEY MADE THE BLASTED THINGS!!!
I am so glad that the pc does work a bit and I can read some posts even if I am not able to do much myself. I can't play in YD community as it just throws me offline and most lj cuts are beyond my being able to open. Good thing for books and dvds or I'd be up the walls with frustration.
