OAP's...or Over Anxious Parents...
Jan. 29th, 2007 04:52 pmPhone call today from an OAP. Her daughter was apparently left ABANDONED for all of HALF AN HOUR at the Arts Centre yesterday evening as the teacher (who didn't have to be there at all and was only there to support the dance students who were running a practice) had the audacity to go home and leave the 'child' there ALONE (with the other girls and two college students and a Arts Centre full of strangers). As the mother said, 'anything could have happened'. And how old is her daughter?
FIFTEEN.
After the teacher phoned her and came to tell us in the office the result of the conversation, it seems that part (in fact probably the MAJOR part) of the problem, was that the college dance students were 'behaving inappropriately' and kissing. Excuse me, but surely they are entitled to kiss on a Sunday evening and in a social setting? Ahh, but it also seems that the two who WERE kissing were *gasp* both girls. NOW we have the root, methinks. Just as well she didn't tell me the finer details when she first called...
I LOVE my job!
