Three Questions...
Date: 2004-04-21 03:58 am (UTC)1. who is your favourite LOTR's character?
2. how did you start chatting on EOAS?
3. how did you and Eldanar meet? *curious on that actually*

Date: 2004-04-21 04:16 am (UTC)2. I visited Eldanar back last autumn, and introduced her to elf-fiction, and then she found EOAS and told me she'd been chatting there. I'd not done anything like that before, so I lurked a teeny bit and then leapt in as Eldanar's real mother, Mathilda, a really nasty piece of work!..within about 10 minutes of my arrival I had Mauburz threatening to string me up and everyone else about to chop me in pieces for being such a terrible mother!! A good debut! Then I decided I couldn't keep up the horrible-ness, and so came in as Sildil, a friend of Eldanar's real ada, bringing him a gift, and the rest, as they say, is history!
3. At Playgroup!...My eldest and her bratling both started at the same time aged two and a half..I was asked to take over the Chair of the Committee, and I needed a new Treasurer. I'd spoken to Eldanar a couple of times, so I asked her! Our lads were mates and so we became friends...16 years ago now!!

Date: 2004-04-21 11:42 am (UTC)Anyway... on with the quiz!
1 - What is your favorite quote from LOTR, from the books, movies or both?
2 - Where do you get the inspiration for all your wonderful drawings?
3 - I know you write.. but what do you write, and will we ever get to see any of it?

Date: 2004-04-21 02:43 pm (UTC)2. From my head actually..I have a very overactive imagination! Seriously, I usually have a picture pop in almost completely formed, and it's just a case of transferring it to paper. It helps when people like Anu, Erestor, Rattie and Morgana write such good stories!
3. The only stuff I've had posted were three things I wrote the end of last year, and it was for the first LotR fanfic site I really got addicted to.
It is at
'The Mellon Chronicles' I have no idea if you will be able to get the link, Eldanar has NEVER got it, but Tux knows it well. I wrote the stories under the name, 'Bess' and they are 'Dark Days', 'Old Flame' and a short story really, called 'A Fine Vintage' The whole site is given to non-slash Leggie/Aragorn tales. The other two little things posted were my little Sildil back story, and then the 1000 word fic for Tux's challenge on the Elrohir_Legolas_Slash Yahoo Group, 'A Begetting Day Treat'. I am writing something for Anu now, but what was supposed to be a PWP about Beleg and Turin, is turning into something a bit longer, and I haven't even got to the smut yet!
Hope that answers everything!

Date: 2004-04-21 05:27 pm (UTC)1) Without acting as Miss Universe, can you tell us what wish you want to come true?
2) What do you think about us? (EoaS related people)
3) Will you dye your hair again? will the colors be very bright ones? :D
*huggles Sildil* Hope I didn't bother you with the questions :)

Date: 2004-04-22 05:16 am (UTC)2. I love you all, and feel privileged to be part of the crowd.
3. I might, but I LOVE SayAye's picture of Sildil, that I use as my icon, SO much that I hesitate to change anything!
Three more questions
Date: 2004-04-21 08:22 pm (UTC)1-When it come to art, who is your favorite artist of all time?
2-What is your favorite medium to work in?
3-What is your favorite picture you have ever created.
Can't wait to see your answers.

Date: 2004-04-22 05:40 am (UTC)2. Hmmmm..that's tricky too as it changes as I find new things. For drawing, I am really into pencils at the moment, whereas a few months ago I did everything in an old fashioned dip pen and ink. For colour stuff, I guess acrylic paint, but I used to use soft pastels all the time and am just starting to use oils. But if I HAVE to choose, it's probably pencils, I love drawing.
3. These are SO difficult!..but fun to answer! I probably haven't got a favourite picture as such...as some I like because I loved the place I drew them in, (I like to draw landscapes when I'm not doing elves) or the time that I made them. I suppose the one I was most pleased with was a portrait in acrylics I was commissioned to do for a friend's birthday, from photographs. It was of her sister who had died a few years before and the friend's husband asked me to do it as a surprise. Firstly, I had never done a portrait before, and secondly, I knew that if it wasn't exactly right, it would be a terrible thing. I had some really crappy photos to work from too, as her husband couldn't give me any that his wife would miss. Anyway, it worked and she was really very happy with it. It always pleases me that I'd managed to do that.
I hope that's answered your questions satisfactorily!

Date: 2004-04-24 05:14 am (UTC)2: How would you like to be remembered?
3: If you could have one pet - what would it be and what would you call it?
Sorry for lame and peculiar questions. make of them what you will

Date: 2004-04-24 06:44 am (UTC)and I have just found an old sketchbook and I'm thinking about scanning in one of the drawings I did there, so it might be in my LJ in a day or two!
2. I know it sounds daft and a bit of a cliche, but I'd like to be remembered for doing good pictures.
3. I have pets, two cats, called Stilton (a gorgeous soppy tabby tom cat) and Garlic (a neat black and white female cat). I did have an elderly cat, also a black and white female called 'Monty', actually 'Montpelier' after the name of the road we found her in. I would always want a cat around, and if I had another, would probably follow the 'food' theme in naming it!
