Yes, its a bit of a laugh! Do check it out at canonanarchists. There is a very very SLIGHTLY serious side though, and I mean 'slightly' (not given to seriousity myself, much) but I do wonder why the perfectly normal mess that is associated with 'it' is somehow considered slightly distasteful? Seems strange to me.

Well... I am intrigued... I guess it depends on the story as to how the 'messiness' is taken... in a nice romantic fic, it can be a bit offputting to read about the gag reflex and such like...

But considering it's all natural, it's amazing how we can actually be squicked by such things...

Yes, that's my point really, and after discussing it with a few others, it is bizarre how something so downright ordinary and natural and part of life makes people go 'eeew'. And I don't see the need for 'escapism' FROM it, as it is not something that needs 'escaping' from. Escapism from a loveless life or boring work, yes - but escapism from the reality of nice, ordinary messy sex?

But on that note.. I remember thinking back on my first 'experience' and thinking it was downright disgusting when you actually think of the nitty-gritty bits... of course, I don't think that way now! (for which I am sure the Lord and Master is most grateful!)

Of course you are, and it is a perfectly reasonable opinion, and I have not said that you are not entitled to it. This was something that I have discussed with my sister in the past, and has often struck me as interesting. I am not out to change anyone's liking or disliking for anything, I have plenty of things that squick me out. Nor am I mocking anyone's views, I would never do that, and I would assume that anyone who knows me well would appreciate that.
